Anxiety Treatment

There are normal levels of anxiety that play a role in everyday life. When individuals have an anxiety disorder they will experience persistent and extreme worry and feel fearful about daily circumstances. Anxiety will come on quite suddenly, causing panic and fear that reaches abnormal levels within minutes, which will often develop into panic attacks if the anxiety is not reduced in a timely manner.

Anxiety becomes a serious problem when the feelings of anxiety and panic impair one’s daily functioning, is a challenge to control and is an exaggerated response to a danger that is not seen as severe by others.
